About this directory

SEO Tools Directory is run by JC Lanoë, an independent SEO and product person, with editorial help from a small group of practitioners who use these tools for client work. It started as a private spreadsheet for comparing tools on the same criteria, and the spreadsheet outgrew itself.

How tools get added

Anyone can submit a tool. An editor checks the product, its pricing, and the claims on its website. The listing goes public after every criterion has a score and an evidence note.

Editorial independence

There are no affiliate links or paid rankings. Claiming a listing is free and does not change its grade. Read the full editorial policy.

Corrections

If a price, feature, or score is wrong, email hello@seotools.directory with a link to the vendor page that shows the correct information. We fix factual errors within a week and note the verification date on the listing.
